I just subscribed to the CBS/Showtime/AppleTV+ bundle and use the Apple TV app on my Roku Ultra to access Showtime on my non-4k HDTV. There are a handful of titles on Showtime that are in 4k that look washed out when I play them. I don't have the issue with non-4k titles on Showtime, and the 4k titles on AppleTV look fine, even though I'm obviously not watching them in 4k.
