MacBookPro running slow

My battery shows 0% and will not charge. Computer was plugged in and turned on all summer, though I didn't use it for a few months. When I finally did, it was noticeably slower in PhotoShop and LightRoom.

I did update system to Catalina 10.15.7. That didn't help any.

MacBook Pro 13″, macOS 10.15

Reset SMC How to reset the SMC of your Mac - Apple Support

Reset NVRAM Reset NVRAM or PRAM on your Mac - Apple Support

Restart your Mac holding Shift to enter Safe Mode. Once up, restart normally and check if it got any better.

Install Etrecheck and Coconut Battery and check the informations and reports gathered by them. Post them here for us to look too.

You can reinstall macOS too to see if it is a software issue.

If none of those solve the issue, you better take it to an Apple Store or Authorized for a proper diagnostic.
