I use this app daily, but as of today, the music starts at a set volume then immediately decreases automatically on my macbook. Why is this happening? How do I make it stop?

Look at your Music ----> Preferences, click on Playback. if "Sound Check" has a check mark next to it, click on it to un-check it .
I had this condition, and un-checking the box corrected it --- hope this works for you!
