my macbook pro is giving me trouble and producing all the time the notification: YOUR DISK IS ALMOST FULL - Save space by optimizing storage. If I go to manage, it shows, that there are 9.23 GB available (after i deleted some files)
The notification keeps on coming.
How can I get rid of it?

Delete more stuff. Get an external drive and move it there. You should have at least 15% of your internal storage unused at all times.

In addition to Apple's native functionality (that neuroanatomist mentioned) I used the article with some additional steps. In conjunction they worked great!
