Track time display on Lock Screen too faint after update

See the 18:25 and the -28:58 on this screen? It’s too hard to make them out against the background after the latest iOS update. How do I change this? Changing the contrast in general doesn’t seem to affect the Lock Screen.

Hello Anthony_J_C,

Thanks for reaching out in Apple Support Communities! We understand you want to change the appearance of the numbers on the lock screen. We're happy to help in any way possible.

Try changing the screen saver to a different one to see if the numbers show up better. It appears that it displays this way because of the design of the wallpaper: Change the wallpaper on your iPhone

I tried a variety of wallpaper designs, but nothing seemed to help with the contrast. For example, this one has a very light gray background on the left and a much darker gray background on the right, but the 34:06 and -14:05 are still very faint against either backdrop.

I think what I need is more contrast between these numbers and the translucent pane they sit on, because the screen’s background affects both the numbers and the pane equally.

I do appreciate the suggestion still. Any other ideas?
