Full screen in iPhone 12

When i start a game or i put a video in full screen there are black edges around the video or the game so i cant use the full screen that well, how can i fix this?

That would have to do with the resolution settings for the game or video. Many videos have a full screen button, but depending on the settings for the recording, it may not match the resolution for the iPhone, plus the fact many are not wide screen compatible without having the black borders.
