Bootcamp Issues macOS Catalina

Hello, I am using an iMac (21.5-inch, Late 2012) system w/ 2.7GHz Quad-Core Intel Core i5 w/8GB RAM.

I have a fully updated version of macOS Catalina and after trying to install Bootcamp, the system rebooted as it was supposed to after the partitioning was done.

The Windows Icon appeared in the middle of the screen then it defaulted to a black screen with a cursor and never moves forward from there.

The only way I can get my Mac to boot up to macOS again is to remove the Bootcamp USB drive and once that has been removed, then I can boot back up into macOS Catalina again without issues.

However, Windows still doesn't boot as it will always default to the cursor up in top left corner.

Any ideas?

The newer W10 ISOs do not properly support the GPUs correctly. I have had to install using W10 1507/1511/1607 and then upgrade to later releases.

You need to use a USB2 Flash drive of 16GB. Using any other storage media as a Windows installer will create issues. Every failed installation attempt requires a SMC and NVRAM Reset, before the next attempt.
