IOS 14.2- my phone locks up in an app

How come after installing IOS 14.2 on my iPhone and iPad, I’ll be in an app and all of a sudden my screen locks up and I can’t do anything in the app except close it and start over?

iPhone 14 Pro Max screen freezes I have a new iPhone 14 pro max. One of my app screens has stopped moving. I can still change the other app screens they just show up on top of of the stopped screen. iPhone app won’t open My iPhone has started to go back to Home Screen when I tap an app. Was working fine earlier and when went to go back to app it just goes straight back to Home Screen. Help please if anyone can.
