cannot access public FTP with Big Sur

I have just updated my Macbook Air to Big Sur 11.0.1 and now cannot access a public FTP.

Error being: "The share does not exist on the server." Any ideas?

I am so frustrated that every update comes with little benefits and leads to something not working properly or at all!

smb server disconnect when copying files Hi, I have begun to experience an issue after the latest update to Big Sur 11.3.1 where my mac disconnects from my work server when copying files or when opening/saving in different programs. On occasion, the connections last long enough to copy over files or to save what I am working on but more often than not the mac just disconnects from the server. Initially, it connects with CMD+K but then I will get the spinning beachball and the finder will close or it will stay open only to close once I start copying files. I am connected over VPN and have selected use SMB in file sharing but the issue persists and is getting worse. I still haven't found a fix to this and I would appreciate it if anyone has had a similar problem and has been able to resolve it. Thanks.

Mojave 10.14.5 Update HAVOC Has anyone else had issues with the Mojave 10.14.5 update? Once I updated my file share network set up failed. The two other Mac users in my office who access the shared folder on my IMAC could no longer access the folder. We tried the shutdown thing using ever manner of sequence only to have the connections break after an hour or 2 as many as 15-20 hours. It would just stop working. It has debilitated my office since the installation almost a week ago and nothing recommended by the apple tech support has worked properly. I'm at wits end!

Issues with Big Sur & NFS I find that NFS is pretty unreliable under Big Sur. On several occasions, I've used Finder to copy files from an SMB share to an NFS share and the file transfers stall out and freeze. Has anyone else had similar issues? Can anyone speak to the level of support Macs have for NFS vs. SMB?

Thank you for your help.

It's an FTP that is accessed through the browser. Now my Mac doesn't open it no matter what I tried so far. I appreciate the help though.

Hi,

You need to install FTP with following commands on Terminal.app.

$ /bin/bash -c "$(curl -fsSL https://raw.githubusercontent.com/Homebrew/install/HEAD/install.sh)"
$ brew install inetutils
