can make calls with my new IPhone 11

I have successfully (kinda) transfer my data into my new Iphone 11, I still have my old one. I can make calls from my old one but none from my new one. I have not transferred my sim card yet - is that the issue?

You need a SIM card in a phone with carrier support to make a phone call.
