Can only check change picture check box on some of the Desktop Pictures in Background

Just upgraded from Catalina to Big Sur, and it's beautiful!

On Desktop and Screen Saver Preferences, the Change picture and Random order checkboxes are disabled for Dynamic Desktops which I can understand, and for Light and Dark Desktops. For Desktop Pictures the first row of four pictures all have the Change picture and Random order disabled. Only starting with the 2nd row of Desktop Pictures can you check these checkboxes.

Not sure if it was like this in Catalina.

Howdy,

Yes, I see that with Catalina also.

It looks like any picture with Day/Night components disable the [ ] Change picture option.

In fact, those two pictures are contained in one heic file.

Showing original for both "Big Sur Graphic Day.heic" and "Big Sur Graphic Night.heic", they point to the same "Big Sur Graphic.heic" file.

It's the same with "Big Sur Day.heic" and "Big Sur Night.heic". They point to "Big Sur.heic".

Opening "Big Sur Graphic.heic" with Preview shows the unified image file.

Not sure how that affects changing the picture, but that seems to be the case. Simple single image pictures work, day/night pictures don't.
