Security

So this may be odd but considering we leave our window open we have a security camera in our bedroom where our safe is we watch our safe. Anyways I happen to notice the orange dot on my phone. While looking at the security footage on my phone I happen to notice that there is an IR light coming from the orange dot. Is that a normal thing with this upgrade or suspect. I’m just curious as to why there is an IR light coming from my phone with the dot.
