iPhone X weird camera glitch(problem)

I have been using my iPhone X since launch and everything has been great, earlier this year i have started having a problem especially when I updated to iOS 14. The glitch or the problem is that I can normally use my phone and the cameras work just fine but suddenly after 4,5 days both cameras go black, this also happens every time the phone is rebooted or turned off when the battery dies. After about 15-20 minutes opening and closing the camera app and pressing random buttons in the app cameras start to work. I have tried completely reseting my phone and restoring with itunes and in dfu mode with no help.

Also after the ios 14 faceid stopped working but I dont really care about that I just want my cameras to work normally and that I dont have to spend half an hour glitching the camera app for cameras to start working after a reboot. Thanks in advance

Hi Fabast19,

Thanks for your post. It sounds like you've had an issue with the iPhone X camera and Face ID. You've taken some great steps to isolate what's happening, so we'll do our best to help out.

To begin, when you restored the iPhone, did you restore and set it up as new or restore a backup? If you restored a backup, any data within that backup may continue to cause the issue with your camera. We'd suggest backing up, doing the same restore steps with iTunes, except this time set it up as new to test the issue further. (You can always restore it once more to then restore a previous backup.) See: How to back up your iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch and Restore your iPhone, iPad, or iPod to factory settings

If the issue continues to occur after restoring as new, you likely have a hardware issue that would require service. In that case, you'd want to find a service location: Find Locations Due to the conditions around the world, most stores require an appointment. Here's how to be prepared to visit: Get your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch ready for service

Wishing you the best, take care!
