Cannot add iCloud email to Outlook on PC
I have talked to Microsoft Support and Apple support. Neither seems to have a solution ....
Laptop is running Win10 Pro with latest updates, Microsoft 365 (formerly Office) with latest updates, and latest version of iCloud for Windows.
I am logged into iCloud on the PC and have checked Mail, Contacts, Calendar, and Tasks. Outlook shows a new folder called iCloud with two sub-folders: Trash, Search Folders.
The Calendar and Contacts buttons at the bottom show me both my iCloud Calendar and iCloud Contacts, however no mail is syncing and updates to my iCloud Calendar on iOS are not reflected on the PC.
In Outlook, I click on File > Add Account and enter my iCloud email address. I then click on Connect. I am prompted to enter my password. I enter the app-specific password generated by appleid.apple.com and click Connect.
"Something went wrong. We couldn't log on to the incoming (IMAP) server. Please check your email address and password and try again."
I've tried various iterations of myemail@icloud.com vs myemail@me.com, the app-specific password v my appleid password, and specifics regarding the encryption and port settings. No luck - same error every time.
This used to work fine on both the laptop and desktop - now, it is not. Other email account are just fine. What changed??
