Homepod intercom not working.

In the Home App, Intercom is turned on, in Receive Notification When - my only choice is NEVER. When I try to use Intercom on my new Homepod, says turn it on in the Home App (it is turned on). Software is up to date and push notifications are allowed. Suggestions? btw, my Homepod Mini works fine.

I had a similar issue and this worked for me. In the Settings app go to Privacy, then Location Services, then Home and set it to “While Using the App”. You should then have the other options for intercom in the Home app.
