Color wheel effect bug?

The bug occurred when the project setting is 1080p, and I place the 4K clips on the secondary timeline as my B-roll. When I apply the color wheel effect, the frame edge narrow a little bit, so the edge will not fit the full frame. But if I change setting to 4k, the bug will not occur.

I'm a little puzzled. I'm not sure what I should be looking for. When it narrows am I supposed to be seeing a bit of the underlying aqua color generator? In the YT screen capture I see like less than a pixel width of what may be the generator underneath, but it's not the full color so it may a compression artifact. Is that what you're talking about? In the 10.5 library that was uploaded I don't see anything of the underlying generator when I switch the wheels on and off. I'm using Big Sur.
