Need to convert old VHS to my iMacOS Catalina v10.15.7. How do I do this?

How do I make this transfer happen? Is there a software package I need to purchase? I need one that's a 64-bit app - right? I'm working on a Mac (Retina 4K, 21.5-inch, 2019). Thanks in advance for your help!

All the software you need is on your Mac already: QuickTime or iMovie

What you do need is a composite video to USB capture device, see what cost and availability is for the country you are from.

BINGO! You guessed it! Life was far too interesting than for me to stop and take time to have them converted. After all, it’s not like I needed them. But before you know it, 25-30 years pass, you retire, and you run across those videos that remind you of those who are gone - only memories. So I make no apologies for hanging on to them for another day. That day has arrived now and I was just looking for some friendly suggestions. Thank you and happy holidays!
