Someone else’s name in my Apple Music.

Why is there someone else’s name showing up in my Apple Music? I’ve checked all of the profile settings and Apple ID settings and everything has only my name on it. Nobody has ever had access to my Apple ID or my music so I’m not sure how it’s possible that somebody else could be the “creator” of the playlists on my phone. How do I get this fixed? And does this mean that they can see/change other things on my Apple account? Or is it solely those playlists??

Hello Brittersismexican,

It sounds like you have some questions about playlists in your Apple Music. We will be happy to help.

One reason this may be happening is if you follow a friend on Apple Music or have subscribed to their playlists. The following article speaks a bit more about shared playlists. Can you have a look and let us know if this helps?

See what friends are listening to in Apple Music on your iPhone, iPad, iPod touch, or Android device

Cheers!
