I follow the link for Mojave, click open, and it says the file is damaged. This copy of the Install macOS Mojave.app application is damaged, and can‘t be used to install macOS.

I follow the link for Mojave on apple support page. Takes me to the app store Mojave install page, click open, and it says the file is damaged. "This copy of the Install macOS Mojave.app application is damaged, and can‘t be used to install macOS"

You already have an outdated copy of the installer on your machine.


Delete it, reboot your Mac, then re-download it.
