Homewerks won’t connect

I cannot connect my brand new iPhone 12 Pro Max to Homewerks Bluetooth speaker. Cannot connect my wife’s iPhone 12 either. Worked fine with our iPhone 8 phones. Appears many others dealing with the exact same issue. Is there a fix for this?

If you have an Apple Watch, I found a successful workaround.

Connect your watch, via Bluetooth, to your Homewerks device. From your phone, you can then select to stream music from your watch. For instance, if you connect your watch and then open Spotify, you will be able to stream music to your Homewerks device. A little convoluted, but hope it helps! It works for me. I just got off the phone with Homewerks and they stated that Apple uses a different BT module in the 12. Late June/early July 2021, they will be selling replacement speakers through home depot for 30-40 dollars. Honestly that's understandable and for the small amount,I respect their commitment to their existing customers.

The thing that confuses me is that I have an iPhone 11 Pro Max which has no problem connecting to my Homewerks BT speaker. My mother and sister on the other hand have the iPhone 12 and cannot connect to the speaker. The iPhone 11 and the iPhone 12 both have Bluetooth version 5.0 A2DP LE. We are also all running IOS version 14.4 (The most current version) yet their 12s still can’t connect and my 11 can connect without any problem. We’ve turned off all Bluetooth signals coming from our phones, deleted any and all formerly known BT devices, turned the Homewerks speaker off and on and any and all combinations of those mentioned above. So if Homewerks Bluetooth wouldn’t be compatible with the Bluetooth versions found in iPhone 12s then the same should be the case for iPhone 11s since their BT hardware/software/firmware etc. is all the same.

Apple has been totally negligent in its approach to this problem. I have spoken with Apple Support more than once and have been assured that a fix would be made. No far, nothing.

I would suggest also contacting Homewerks and Home Depot advising them that they need to alert potential buyers that newer iPhones will NOT be compatible. (I have an iPhone 12 Pro Max-replaced an iPhone 8).
