Backlight on MacBook Pro does not work

Hi, I recently got my MacBook back from a screen repair and the backlight only turns on when shutting off and on, it pops up for login and then it dims after I log in. I have tried SMC multiple times, and even hard rested my MacBook as well as updated it. I also do not have illuminate keyboard options in system preferences.
