The new iOS apps auto arrange everything into a total mess!!! I can’t put things on a page without other things dropping. Worse I can’t remove items without them auto filling mysteriously so there is no way to create a page of just icon I want. Help

How do you keep apps from auto moving from one page to another when you delete/remove apps? I want to drop my home page to half of what is there and then add the ones I want. But ios 14 keeps auto flowing in random apps. I’ve used iPhone from day 1. I’m for the first time looking at android

When you delete an app from a home page, the apps will auto arrange themselves so that all of the empty slots are at the end. If you try to add more apps to a page that's already full, apps at the bottom right of the screen will move to the next page (possibly causing a cascade) It's worked this way since at least iOS 6. There is no way to turn that off.

I try never to fill up a page completely. I try to leave at least one, preferably two empty slots. That makes it easier to move things around without things going every which way.

Hello tachypod,

Thanks for that info and for choosing the Apple Support Communities. If we understand correctly, you are unable to arrange the apps on your Home Screen the way you want. Since this isn't possible, please give Apple feedback directly exactly what you are trying to do so they could look into enabling this in the future:

Cheers!
