how to transfer zipped/compressed photos files from Mac to iphone

i have compressed all my photos to zip file on mac using compress file option and i want to transfer the zipped files from MAC to Iphone 12 pro. Can i use Airdrop to do it? or is there any other way to do it?

I am assuming that you want to move the photos to your iPhone 12 Pro from your Mac. There is really no gain in moving the photos in zipped format. You will probably benefit from moving the photos in their original format rather than zipped. My recommendation, therefore, is to UNZIP those photo files on your Mac and then transfer them to your iPhone 12 Pro while the iPhone is connected to your Mac. At that point, it should simply be a Select, drag and drop process by using the Photos app.

Yes i am trying to transfer them from mac to Iphone 12 pro. The reason i am doing an zipped process is because i have like 5000 some photos. I tried syncing them with finder on Mac to iphone. But this sync process is not giving me option to delete or edit on my iphone. i am not sure about the drag drop process. can you please explain more on it.
