Reading Blu Ray Data disks

I have old photos and videos stored on blu ray discs from way back when I was a PC guy. What do I need to get my Mac Air to recognize my old USB external blue ray drive and read the files?

MacBook Air 11″, OS X 10.11

Visit the manufacturer's website. See if there’s any supporting software or driver for macOS Catalina. If there is download and install it and try using it. If there isn’t consider purchasing something newer that is known to work with macOS. Apple have one available on their website that should do the job.
