Address book in Apple Mail

How do I recover my address book in Apple Mail that crashes on startup? Contacts only contains some of the addresses.

Use Another Device:

If you have another device associated to the same Apple Account, then enable Contacts on its iCloud Settings. If this iMac was synced with Contacts in its own iCloud settings, then enabling Contacts on the other device, should reveal it all.
