temporary problem completing your request. an unknown error occurred

When I sign on to iTunes on my desktop computer I get an error saying my request cannot be completed. An unknown error occurred (-45054). And my iTunes does not update when I purchase new music on iTunes from my iPad.

If we understand, when trying to connect to iTunes on your computer you're seeing an alert for error 45054. If that's right, the following steps will help: If you see a -45054 or -42110 error in iTunes
