What if I no longer want to trade-in my device after I signed up to trade-in?

The way the trade-in feature works when a purchase is made online is that you initially get charged for the entire price of the iPhone before trade-in value has been deducted. Your trade-in value gets refunded to your chosen method of payment.

Now, if you do not trade your iPhone in by sending it to Apple then you will not be credited the trade-in amount. In the end, you will have paid for the total price of the new iPhone without the trade-in.
