I cant get my usb to hdmi adapter to work on the new mac mini 2020 running Big Sur! (This adapter works perfectly fine on my 2015 macbook pro running catalina)

I don't know if you can use the USB-A ports for displays at all.
I do know that you can ONLY support dual monitors using on display on the HDMI port AND the other on a USB port (probably only one of the USB-C ports).
The adapter picture above will 100% not work to get dual displays with an M1 Mac mini.

I got my Mac Mini with M1 chip on dual displays. 32 and a 27 inch. Use a USB-c to hdmi by Anker, 10$ on amazon.

Looks dodgy, contact dodgy vendor (j5create). Or save yourself the trouble, chuck it, won’t work on the M1.
That adapter is not designed to work with the new M1.
You'll need one monitor to be pure HDMI. connection.
