Circle 2 camera unable to add accessory in homekit

Bought a Circle 2 camera because it is Homekit compatible. The camera works great in the circle app but when I try to pair it to HomeKit I get either one of two different error messages..incorrect code or unable to add accessory. Maybe I'm missing something. I follow the steps and make sure the HomeKit button in the circle app is turned on and I hold my iPhone really close to the camera but I still get those messages, not together but one or the other. Any ideas? Thanks.

Hello captaa,

If we understand correctly, you’re running into trouble setting up your Circle 2 camera using the Home app on your iPhone. Is that correct? We're sure you’re eager to get this all squared away, and we’ll be happy to advise.

You’ve done some great troubleshooting already, but we'd like to confirm a few more details.

Have you checked to make sure that Bluetooth is enabled on the iPhone?

Have you tried restarting the devices to see if that helps?

Do you have Home and iCloud Keychain enabled in iCloud settings on the iPhone?

Take a look at the steps listed in the following article. You’ll want to make sure you meet all the requirements to help isolate. Add a HomeKit accessory to the Home app

Also, have you checked with the Homekit accessory manufacturer to see if there are any recent updates released?

If so, we would suggest reaching out to Apple Support directly to help take a closer look. Especially since you’re able to add other accessories without issue. Contact Apple Support

Regards.
