Calls via aux cable not working

I am unable to take calls on iPhone when connected via aux cable to either car speaker or headphone (music works fine). I looked at the discussion in the community and could see that this issue is there from so many years but hasn’t been resolved. I don’t think there is any issue with my car mic as my old Samsung phone worked well for it.

Is there any latest update to fix this issue? It’s my first time using iPhone and I’m pretty annoyed by this.

iPhone 11, iOS 14

Hi SharmaH27,

It sounds like you're having issues with calls when a headset is connected. If we have that correct, let's try restarting your iPhone and see if this continues to happen.

Restart your iPhone

Is this happening when using the EarPods that came with your iPhone? Are you using an Apple branded Lightning to 3.5 mm Headphone Jack Adapter or a third-party adapter? Let's also try the troubleshooting outlined in the resource below:

If your headphones don't work with your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch

Let us know if that helps.

Cheers.
