I have an iPhone 12 Pro Max bought 2 days bck, I can't tag people on my Instagram post. But if I do it from another device, everything works perfectly.
And while watching insta stories, for lot of time it becomes black screen after refresh only I can watch again.

I had this issue too but I contacted Apple Support and they helped me. Go to Settings > General > Reset > Reset All Settings and that should do the trick! Don’t worry when you hit reset it won’t wipe anything from your phone. Everything should still be as it was when it restarts, hope this helped! :)

Instagram is not an Apple product. Contact the app developer here --> App Support or Instagram Help Center
Are you just trolling people who have legit issues? Seriously, what joy do you get out of making people's life harder.....
For those that don't know, reset all does does the following:
Reset All Settings: All settings—including network settings, the keyboard dictionary, the Home Screen layout, location settings, privacy settings, and Apple Pay cards—are removed or reset to their defaults. No data or media are deleted.
If anyone has a legit answer please post....
For your info in my iPhone 7 plus I can tag people in my insta post but not in 12 Pro max.
And one more issues i faced now, unable to share stories in Facebook too.

Yeah I tried contacting the Apple Support Live Chat and they couldn’t help me but I then phoned them and the guy was very helpful. No problem, glad you got it sorted!

I have this issue as well, iPhone 12 Pro Max. I click tag, get the message to tap the screen to tag someone, but tapping the screen doesn't do anything. Nothing happens at all.
But it's not just Instagram. It happens on at least two more of my apps, in very specific circumstances. One is Duolingo, where the entire app works perfectly EXCEPT for stories, which are supposed to open when tapped, but 19 times out of 20 nothing happens when I tap them. Only occasionally does it work properly, seemingly at random. No one on Duolingo forums seems to have this problem. The other app is Headway, where I can't tap the books to open them like I should be able to.
It's not an internet speed issue, and all other apps seem to work just fine. This is my 2nd iPhone 12 because the first was buggy in a different way. What the heck is going on? So frustrating.
