my 5200 series printer always says offline, how do I correct

my HP printer is off line how do I change this status. MacBook Air and OfficeJet 5258

An HP OfficeJet 5258 All-in-One Printer is an AirPrint-enabled device.

Is that how you installed it? You must explicitly select AirPrint. Do not install any drivers.
