Screen issues while scrolling

After all the lock screen + cover + screen protector issue(s) with the 12 Mini were solved by iOS 14.2.1.


I thought all the matters were solved. But there’s one problem which is still there.


If the phone is in the cover and the screen protector , and it’s kept on a table or the bed, ( any non conductive surface) and we use our thumb for scrolling up and down on the phone, the inputs aren’t taken properly by the screen. It seems as if the screen is misbehaving just like it was before iOS 14.2.1.

This issue stops happening once we hold the phone in one hand. Or if a part of your body comes in contact with a conducting object. I’ve been trying it time and again and it keeps happening.


It happens less often if I remove the cover and keep it on the table/bed but it still does happen.



I’ve reported this to Apple. My device is fine. Is anyone else facing a similar issue. A few people are. I also know a famous youtuber from India who is facing the exact same issue with his 12 Mini.
