I just recently upgraded to Big Sur and I'm not able to add columns to the mail window. In particular, I'd like the attachment column back like I had it before the upgrade. I can *sort* by attachment--allegedly--but there is no indication which emails are the ones with attachments. Has this been discontinued? Doesn't make much sense if it has.

Like any other list view in macOS, ctrl-click on the headers and select the items you want to appear.

Been on Macs for decades and I am not familiar with "any list view" altered via ctrl-click. Thx for the tip.
Finder, for one. I can’t remember if that was available on System X, or if it appeared in OS X
