Why is my name as a administrator not in the disk and when I try and add my name

well I try to add my name (administrator) on my MacBooks disk to change permissions to read and write but then this happens (images attached). Is this normal or should change the Macintosh HD- data partition to read and write and if so how can I do that.

thanks.

Your permission look normal here.

About the read-only system volume in macOS Catalina - Apple ...

Third party Cleaners /Optimizers/ Anti-Virus typically just add issues on the macOS not solve them.

You do not say what macOS you upgraded from as a reference point...

one System Preference I will draw your attention to is Security & Privacy>Privacy.

Here you can give special permission to applications > ex. Full Disk Access, Files & Folder. etc.

Change Security & Privacy General preferences on Mac ...

well some of the disk cleaners like daisy disk and omni sweeper aren't working because it says they are a read only disk. maybe it's because I upgraded to macOS Big Sur but I think that if I change the disk they will work again. I have tried fixing these apps by doing things like reinstalling and disabling System Integrated Protection (SIP) and things like that.

thanks for you answer.

With Catalina and Big Sur, the OS portion of the drive is mounted read only. It doesn’t matter what permissions you manage to set.

Also, unless the items you are trying to delete are located at the top level directory, changing permissions on it won’t affect the location you are trying to modify. Those aren’t permissions for the entire drive, only that directory.

Why is my name as a administrator not in the disk and when I try and add my name
