I am trying to remove the MAIL app from my Apple watch series 3. it is using entirely too much space (over 1gb) and I can’t even I stall latest update. not sure how else to free up additional space but I only have about 300mb available

Unpair your Apple Watch via the Watch app on your iPhone.
Then Re-pair your Apple Watch,this deletes temporary and corrupted files
and also clears the system cache freeing up a surprisingly large amount of storage space.And without any loss of data.
