YouTube keeps playing after I answer the phone

This has been posted before a few years back by another user but I see it still happens in iOS in 2020 so I'm posting it again because I just had an embarrassing episode because of this issue. I was in the YouTube iOS app when a call came in and I had to listen to the video play throughout the entire phone call. At first, I thought it was a TV at the other end of the line and then I realised it was the YouTube app.

When you receive a call, it would be nice if all media automatically stopped playing or be muted. Even better, have all media on all connected devices with loudspeakers (MacBook, HomePod, iPad) be muted.

Is there a setting somewhere for this ? (just checking)
