Apple TV 4th gen — Vertical lines on TV screen following update
These lines appeared following an update (picture below).
Here is what I have checked based on suggestions:
It NOT the TV screen (The lines do not appear when using only the TV)
It is NOT the HDMI cables (I swapped them; and I also swapped the ports that I was using),
I unplugged and plugged in the power cable ; I removed and re-seated the ethernet cable. I have tried using Wifi instead of ethernet.
I have restarted the AppleTV using the system settings.
I have reset my AppleTV to factory settings.
Nothing worked, but I did determine that is it definitely the AppleTV.
My Apple Care coverage has (naturally) expired.
All I did was allow AppleTV to update automatically.
What is my recourse? Anyone have any other possible fixes?
