Notification sound

Hi, I just fixed my new iPhone 12 and connected the phone to my Apple Watch. Now I get notifications on my watch but not my phone when the screen is locked. How do I change ?

That is the case whether the phone is on silent or not. Is this a know bug? If the solution is to reset the phone i am not really willing to do that, as it was working perfectly fine until i have updated to latest iOS. I have also checked the obvious settings, notifications, silent mode, night mode etc etc etc i also have an apple watch, which i just updated. Is it a new feature that when notification come on the watch they dont appear on the phone? If thats the case its an awful feature !

Notifications on locked iPhone I need for my iPhone to ding with messages (when it’s in the locked position) along with my Apple Watch that is connected to my phone.

Notifications on your Apple Watch - Apple Support explains that Notifications go to either your Apple Watch or iPhone, but not both. Learn when a notification might appear on your iPhone, instead of your Apple Watch.
