iPad charger for iPhone 12

Just bought the iPhone 12. I still have my original old iPad Mini 2 charging adapter (10W). I used it with my iPhone 7 Plus. Since the new iPhones doesn't come with the charger. Can I use this old charging adapter for my new iPhone? Will it harm my battery?

It will not harm the battery, however it will not charge it very fast. It would be the standard charging rate like the old 5w power adapters.
