apple watch getting hot while charging and won't take a charge

My apple watch will not charge in regular outlet.

I am charging from my MacBook Air. It looks like it is charging but is getting very hot and just continues to blink the apple icon.

watch over heated while charging I put my Apple Watch to charge overnight, when I woke up it was extremely hot and would not turn on. I let it cool off and tried to restart it still wouldn’t work. I tried putting on a different charger and it would not charge, it just started heating up again. I have charged this watch hundreds of times on the proprietary charger so not sure what is up. Thank you

Your description suggests the watch has some kind of internal failure. The only thing you can do at this stage is Contact Apple Support to arrange service.
