IPhone Sx max is stuck on Apple logo

Yesterday out of the blue my iPhone SX max got stuck on the logo screen. It won’t turn off or on, I tried to do an update from iTunes but it won’t fix, so then I tried to do a restore from iTunes and that did nothing as well. I keep getting error messages. I have tried the restore but both a desktop PCs and a mac lap top. It acts like it’s getting ready to restore but after waiting a long time 30-45 min I just get an error message. I had two friends who this happened to this week as well and they ending up buying a new phone. I can’t afford a new phone here at Christmas and I paid 1500.00 for this phone a couple years ago. I rarely use my phone. This should not be happening. Help please. Thank you.
