Just purchased 2 iphone 11 for presents. One for self, one for husband. I have an apple id from an ipad but we are moving phones from android. Does husband need an separate apple id or is it better to just use family sharing.

Everyone should have their own Apple ID.
Apple ID is not meant to be shared. Apple ID identify one person and many Apple services
