iPhone won’t unmute on call

If I make a call or answer one the mute button has a line through it. If I click on it the button turns white but still has the line. I have reset my phone and I am up to date with all updates. Please help I have a presentation due on Tuesday for uni where I need my phone. The mic is working for Facebook and WhatsApp
