Photos disappeared from photo widget after 14.2 update of Ipad

I have a gen 5 IPad. After the 14.2 upgrade, my Photo widget no longer works. Old photos no longer visible. Can’t add new photos, so camera is worthless. I backed my photos up on ICloud, and they are visible there, but not very useful there. I can’t add new photos there. How can I restore functionality to my Photo widget, so I can use my camera and edit photos again? Or is there any way I can undo the 14.2 upgrade, because it was useless to me and took away some functionality that I really enjoyed.
