Language switching stops working using globe button button on MBP M1

When I launch my MBP M1 language switching using fn button works normally, but in some time after launch this feature stops working, and I should reset my MBP to use this feature.

(fn button works, but it doesn't switch languages)

How can I solve this issue?

MacBook Pro 13″, macOS 11.0

I want to type using Russian of Ukrainian with keyboard of my Mac. So I switch languages from EN to RU using button fn (with 🌏 icon) and it works, but temporary. When I launch the Mac it works probably, but not so long...this feature stops working and when I want to type another language I have to switch it on control panel on the top of my screen (what is uncomfortable).

Then I reset my Mac and this feature returns.

First of all, the Control - Space shortcut no longer has this functionality. It has been changed for a while now (even before last October) into showing or hiding the Spotlight. The new shortcut to change between languages is ^ Space or ^⌥ Space.

Secondly, we obviously know there are other shortcuts using multiple keys but that's the problem. The one-key-shorcut is way more user-friendly and that's why we would like this bug to be fixed.

That's mistaken. Spotlight is still Command Space.

The new shortcut to change between languages is ^ Space or ^⌥ Space.

That's correct, at least since El Capitan. And the symbol ^ stands for Control.

I'm experiencing this issue as well on my M1 Macbook Air.

If I go into System Preferences -> Keyboard -> Input Sources and I disable then re-enable the "Select the previous inout source" option and I change language using that given keyboard combination then the globe button starts to work again.

It is frustrating and probably it could be solved by restarting some daemon-like process from Terminal but I haven't found which one.
