carplay - location services not working anymore

CarPlay has worked fine for many months on my 6s phone. However now when I connect i get a big message on the car screen saying that I need to enable location services on my phone. But they are already enabled. The only way past this is to go to settings on the phone, privacy, location and turn them off and on again. It works but it is a bit of a faff. Not sure why it has only just started giving this error - especially when location services are on anyway.

google maps making carplay lag I have been using google maps to connect to my KIA carplay. The maps will work fine for about 2 minutes then my map lags. My car is ahead of were Google Maps thinks I am by about a minute. This also happens with Waze. It also makes switching over to other car play apps extremely slow almost not possible. If I use Apple Maps this doesn't happen but I don't like the Apple Maps. I've reset my phone connections. Deleted the saved car from CarPlay. All my location settings have been reset and updated. My service coverage is good in the areas. Also, all apps and Iphone are updated to the latest versions. Google maps worked great until about 2 weeks ago. Any ideas or is Apple just hating on Google Maps

Apple CarPlay Lag My maps in Apple CarPlay start lagging once I start driving. The maps are like a mile behind where I actually am. I drive a Kia k5 2023. Does anyone know how to solve this problem?
