Bluetooth has to be on...for wireless
If you are having an issue you can hold the Shift Option keys and click open the BT icon>Reset BT module
Set up your Apple wireless mouse, keyboard, and trackpad ...
If your Apple wireless mouse, keyboard, or trackpad isn't working
If your Apple wireless mouse, keyboard, or trackpad isn't working with your Mac as expected
