Apple ID keeps getting locked

For the last few months I keep getting logged out and then locked out of my Apple ID account. My iOS is always up to date and I’ve changed my password a few times to stronger ones and it keeps happening. I get this message 3-4 times a week. What is going on and how can I fix this?

Funny, as I was trying to come here to reply to everyone, again account was locked and needed to reset it. Then once that was done it tried to push me to do 2FA. I don’t have that and will never upgrade to it. I’m thinking others are right and this is a way to push us to add 2FA. Apple you need to fix your sh*t! Not all of us want 2FA on our devices so you can’t force us to do that. It’s annoying to keep having my account locked for no reason but that won’t push me in to adding something I don’t want. FIX THIS NOW!!

Oh that is redicilious! For which sake should I set 2FA for a device which I always keep home?

I have lost one apple ID account because I have forgotten one security answer. I dont want to loose it again.

So frequent locks look scarry to me.

It happens not so often though: maybe once per month and yes it happens since maybe end of last year.

If it keeps going I will not buy an apple device anymore after the current one is broken
