Just brought above. When I swipe an app closed, they don’t appear to actually close..
do I need to get an app that closes programs?
I really hope not.. that’s an android thing and is one of the main reasons I went apple in the first place...

Got the answer.. turns out that on the 12 you exit an application. Closing the app is then done by sliding a finger all the way up the screen and then swiping the apps away, similar to internet browsers. Quite a similar method to android and very different to just closing the app, as was done on the 8+
